Connect your keys

Add an API key from your model provider, choose a default model and start the first conversation.

Add a key for your selected model provider in the desktop app. To run with that key in the cloud, separately enable its cloud use or add it in the web app; manage and remove uploaded keys in settings. Model usage is billed by the provider and is not included in a cloud subscription.

  1. Create an API key in your provider’s dashboard (for example, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google).
  2. Open Settings in More AI and paste the key into the matching provider field.
  3. Pick a default model, then start a conversation — you’re ready to go.

You can add keys for several providers at once and switch between their models per conversation.
