Installation

Download and install the desktop app on macOS, Windows or Linux, and get past the system’s warning on first launch.

Updated October 20, 2026

Download the build for your platform from the home page or the releases page, then follow the steps for your OS.

Builds are published by the desktop app’s release CI, and once installed the app keeps itself up to date.

macOS

Open the .dmg and drag More AI into Applications. On first launch Gatekeeper blocks the app. After that first try, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway”. Apple-silicon and Intel are both supported.

Windows

Run the .exe installer. If SmartScreen appears, choose “More info” → “Run anyway”. The app installs per-user and updates itself.

Linux

Download the .AppImage, mark it executable (chmod +x) and run it. No system-wide install or root access required.

How More AI works

From download to first result in three steps

All you need is a key for an AI model. If you don’t have one, OpenRouter gives you one in a couple of minutes. An account is optional.

Install the free app

For macOS, Windows and Linux. It keeps itself up to date.

Paste your key

OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and 30+ other providers — or a model running on your own computer. Pick a model for each task.

Ask for the result

Point it at a folder, a website or a repository and say what you need. Every change shows up for you to review.
